This section contains memories and stories from five happy years in Uganda, where we lived and worked and studied, and had some of the very best friends imaginable. Although we were far from family we actually managed to broaden our family by adding people who became so close that they are really our flesh and blood.

Uganda is a very beautiful country and we were lucky to have a house and garden that we loved from the first moment we saw them… although we had to wait a while and move three times before we got the chance to take possession. However, once we moved in there was no looking back, and the boys spent five important years of their childhood there, with dog and cat and chickens.

I hope over time I will have peace and time and find inspiration to go back and write more about those years, but here I make a start…
