Tunnel Vision

This week poem, inspired by the ups and downs of life at a time of change and decisions and how the way you choose to look at the future affects your perception of opportunities and risks.

Tunnel Vision

Fade and glow

Shrink and grow

Light I seek to reach.

Not mist or sleet

Approach, retreat

Firm step of weary feet

But how I choose to see my sights

Interpret shadows

Read the lights.

If I were forced to use one word to praise you as a poet I would have said ‘amazing.’ Your poems give people like me a ray of hope. Again a wonderful poem which inspires to explore the opportunities that life has to offer us.

  2. Dear Rilla. I just wish you all the luck with your bold steps into a new future.- Your little poem say so much with a few words..

  3. Dear Rilla. Nice poem. Like short syle. I only know these feeling all too well. Sincerely hope your poetry can help you on your path. Perhaps you could use more clear questions like: “But how do I choose to see see my sights” to lead your way and open up the verse. Keep on walking.
